Template:Characterbox The Evil Spirits are side-quest enemies in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. They have appeared only in the Insomniac trilogy.
Story
Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!
In Colossus, an evil spirit was seen harassing the Professor. When Spyro approached, the evil spirit fled, and Spyro had to flame all of the ten golden statues to drive away the spirit for good.
When possessed by the evil spirit, the statues were green and bore a sinister look. Flaming them drove the evil spirit out of the statue, returning it to normal, and the spirit would take refuge in another statue until Spyro flamed the last one.
Spyro: Year of the Dragon
In Cloud Spires, the evil spirits had kept the bells from ringing that were needed to wake up the rain cloud. Spyro had to use the Flight powerup to flame all of the evil spirits in order for the bells to ring.
Trivia
