Explosive Chests[1] are a recurring type of treasure chest in the Spyro franchise.
Location and uses
Explosive Chests are the dangerous kind of containers that are filled with fireworks in Spyro the Dragon and Spyro: A Hero's Tail. When Spyro comes across these gem-filled chests of fireworks, he will need to ignite them and stand back to avoid getting hurt. The resulting explosion will not only send a shower of gems sky-high, but it can hurt Spyro if he stands too close. Charging the explosive chests will not only release gems, but will also harm Spyro as well.
