Explosive Chests[1] are a recurring object in the Spyro franchise.
Location and uses
Explosive Chests are a type of treasure chest filled with explosives. They first appear in Spyro the Dragon and return in Spyro: A Hero's Tail. Whenever Spyro gets near an Explosive Chest, he must use his flame breath to light the fuse of the explosives. Within a few seconds, the Explosive Chest explodes, causing some gems to fly out. If Spyro is within the range of the explosion, he takes damage.
