Titan (ドルタン=バトノマール Dorutan in Japanese) is a Dragon Elder who lives in Cloudy Domain in Spyro: A Hero's Tail, though he first appeared in the first game of the series at Peace Keepers. He is the elder who teaches Spyro how to shield himself with his wings.
Story
Gnasty Gnorc's Revenge
Titan is the first Dragon to be encounted in Crystal Form by Spyro at the Peace Keepers. He welcomes Spyro to the realm, and also tells him that the treasures have been stolen and turned into Gnorcs. He seems to act like a general in this game, and is possibly the leader of the Peace Keeper dragons since he is the first dragon to be freed in his homeworld.
A Hero's Tail
Template:Q Sometime prior to the events of A Hero's Tail, Titan met and became best friends with Red, who was also an elder at the time. However, when Red became evil (due to being controlled by the Sorcerer), their friendship ended (As Titan described, their friendship drifted apart like ships in the sky).
Years later, Titan met Spyro, and taught him Wing Shield. He explained that he and Red were friends once after Spyro asked him about Red (a humorous matter was that Titan thought Spyro was asking him about somebody named Jim).
In the secret ending, Titan was shown watching TV with the other elders, in which he cannot read what it says, mistaking the credits for something about pudding. When Tomas decided to turn the TV off for a while (to prevent futher argument between Astor and a deaf Magnus), Titan agreed and turned it off with the remote.
Shadow Legacy
Titan appears again in Spyro: Shadow Legacy. After Spyro frees him and the other Elders, Titan volunteers to teach Spyro on upgrading his Charge and Jump ability whenever he levels up.
Unlike in his other two appearances, Titan is shown to be a selfish grouch, and was upset when Spyro was sent on his quest. At one point, he was quite rude, compared to the other Dragon Elders.
Trivia
- While Titan is shown to be a strong, general-like Dragon Elder in the first game, he is shown to have aged a lot between then and Spyro: A Hero's Tail, as in the latter game, he is shown to be an elderly dragon. It is likely that his rapid aging is possibly ether a curse given by Red (who was once his best friend), simply his natural aging, though Spyro appears to be about 14 in the game (he was 10 years old when they met), or possibly the character design change from the recent publishers of the Spyro franchise.
- In Spyro: A Hero's Tail, a statue of Titan can be seen in Dragonfly Falls.
