Dan Johnson was an employee of Insomniac Games who was famous for his cameos in the games. His first cameo was in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!, and made many more cameos afterwards, most of whom are found in the Ratchet & Clank series.
All his life, Dan has had difficulties with his legs. He died in December, 2006, at age 32. Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, which was in production at the time of his death, was dedicated to him.
References to Dan Johnson in the original Spyro trilogy
- In Mystic Marsh, Dan's face can be found on the coins in the fountain, if you look closely.
- In the Dino Mines, if you look at the WANTED posters, you'll notice that Dan is the wanted person.
- Also, one of the baby dragons found in this world is named Dan.
- Although not as accepted in the fan base as much, one of the Dogs in Haunted Tomb is also named Dan.
