Whirlwinds are objects which appear in the main Spyro games, and they first appear in the first Spyro the Dragon. Whirlwinds are swirling columns of wind and blue sparkles that spin Spyro upward, allowing him to reach otherwise inaccessible areas. Sometimes, whirlwinds only appear once Spyro has completed a certain task.
