Stewart Copeland is an American musician, best known as the drummer for the British rock band The Police. He is notable for composing the music for the original Spyro the Dragon trilogy (Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!, Spyro: Year of the Dragon) and Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly. His scores for the original trilogy are reimagined and mixed in-house by Toys For Bob's senior audio designer, Stephan Vankov, for the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, as well as the option to use the original soundtrack. Stewart also composed the main theme for Reignited, Tiger Train.

Trivia

  • Many of the music pieces from the game, Spyro the Dragon, or music motifs from them, have made their way into other Copeland pieces, such as the theme to The Amanda Show, Look Up, and Louis Hansa.
  • To compose the soundtrack to original Spyro trilogy, Stewart Copeland used a Kurzweil K2500x keyboard (with orchestral and contemporary ROMs), and Spectrasonics CD ROMs like Distorted Reality 1 & 2, Heart of Africa, etc.
